You're misinterpreting the ruling then, because the ACA was already determined to be legal by the supreme court years ago. A lower court cannot rule otherwise under any circumstance.

Not to mention to possible Trump voters, he will just say "democrat led congress was unable to create a working law to replace one that was declared unconstitional. The lack of insurance falls on them." Of course ignoring the fact that republicans passed the bill to remove the penalty.

5D chess indeed.

Not true - they can rule it unconstitutional for any reason outside of the 'it's not a tax' argument.

It literally is unconstitutional, because the government has no legal authority to force you to enter any marketplace, much less an in-state one.

If passing a national healthcare law could help them and harm democrats they will come to the table. Maybe shoot down the first pure democrat one and then have an R written bill that's good enough to get votes.

Won't happen. Both parties want such fundamentally different things that a healthcare plan that can pass through the Democratic house and the Republican senate AND not get vetoed by Trump is a pipe dream

Though, if you took Obamacare, kept it identical and renamed it to TrumpCare, Trump would love it. See the rebranded NAFTA

Yeah, seriously. Sometimes its easy to be idealistic about these things until people close to you get railroaded over an unexpected injury.

NOBODY should receive a $10,000 bill from the hospital for a plaster cast and an X-ray. Nobody should be forced to have PAYMENT PLANS for a medical emergency.

Nobody should go bankrupt over medical expenses, regardless of the fact that some people think bankruptcy isnt that bad.

I dont mean to sound heartless but you said a person with no job or insurance with cancer. Is a person with no job really worried about their financial situation? Get the treatment bankrupt and heck look for a job once better.

For the record I have no job, I have no insurance, and heck I have been told I have signs I may have cancer. If I cared to get treated I wouldnt worry about claiming bankruptcy. Or heck just dont pay them as lets see them get it from someone with no job or income.

Also there are organizations that can help people that want it to get treatment even without insurance.

unfortunately hospitals cost money to run to pay "employee's" a salary or wage for services but everyone is still on the hook for any service. i still owe money from a seizure incident but not to the hospital (didn't think that would happen to me but dehydration can cause it) only thing i remember is waking up in the back of an ambulance being told by my brother i was found slumped over in my chair having that condition happen it broke my back for a month as well.
