So almost everyone who has a bracket votes for Link because it's always in their best interest to do so. This is why Link is looking stronger than ever - registered users are the only ones with brackets and a vast majority of them have Link to win, so they vote for Link all the time and it's now worth double the votes for him. And they still vote for Link.
