the whole spirit thing feels like a gacha game, you have various premium currencies to buy stuff, the option to spend currency on re-rolls or attempts (i.e. classic mode), etc

thankfully it's not P2W at all, i dont think you can get the currency outside the game. but beyond the core smash gameplay it feels like the biggest influence on ultimate are mobile gacha games. doesnt really sit well with me somehow

yea it's not terrible, ill need to put in more time with the game to see if the RNG elements gets shitty

I've been loving World of Light and me and a few friends played a bunch of multiplayer games for 5 hours without even looking at the clock and realize we all were up too late and had to stop.

It being part of such a mobile platform as well as a Switch made it super easy to bring my shit over to my friends for game night too.

A+, I've never been as happy as I have been for a Smash game since Brawl.

I kinda like it because some of the uber hard spirits can occasionally be bought from the in game shop

There's plenty of single player content overall which I love since I'm not always sweating it out online

I mean, hes outright stated that he loved Xenoblade 2 and that had a stupid gacha system at the core of the game. Its majorly toned down in this game compared to that one though and is very easy to ignore even if youre determined to collect everything.

Probably because Sakurai physically exerts himself with every Smash game and aside from forsaking his humanity and becoming a vampire around Smash 4, he's beginning to slowly lose it, therefore Piranha Plant. Nobody wants that so basically he wants to piss off to an island for the next half a decade of so

Man's a genius though for all the Fire Emblem reps, Melee mains mad as fuck lol
