I think at this point don't separate sports between men and women period. Just mix them and let the better athletes of the two bubble to the top.

It would be exactly the same situation.

Would it, though? I didnt get to read the full article, but it seems like the problem is they think she would have an advantage because of maybe being a trans woman who was a man before. So, because of gender. So, of thats correct and her past/present gender is/was the issue, wouldn't that mean that mixing the genders would actually get rid of the problem... And actually change the situation. Thats what I can gather from the little I was able to read...

Exactly, just ignore someone's gender and base it off their physical ability. If you want real "inclusion" then making all sports mixed gender makes the most sense.

Yes. The women wouldn't be playing in the NFL even as a third string. There will always be a male that is stronger due to simple biology. Doesn't mean that those women who would attempt to get in would be weak.

Depends more on the position they are playing then anything else. Yea you are not going to see a lot of women lineman or fullbacks. But receivers, quarterbacks, and kickers? I could see quite a few of them getting in.

I think youre greatly underestimating the physical differences between men and women and just how much of an impact those differences make in sports at the professional level. The most skilled and co-ordinated woman in the world would probably never make quarterback because even if she could spot receivers faster than anybody else and put the ball exactly where she wants to 100% of the time, the passes will be slower (and would constantly be picked off) and her overall range is going to be significantly less than what a male athlete could accomplish, so her team would be limited to shorter passes and plays which not only limits their potential, but makes them predictable as well.
Not to mention that she would probably have a lower bone density than male athletes and would likely face more serious injuries if she were to get hit, as quarterbacks tend to be.
(This is all without the real world implications of normalizing violence against women, which this would unfortunately do, even it is just in a sports setting).

That sounds like some seriously sexist shit that modern feminists use to justify their shitty opinions.

Lower bone density, the fuck? Next you are going to tell me women can't be scientists because they have smaller brains...

No. Even if she is recognized as female now she still spent her developing years as a biological male which means she developed male bones, muscles, and skin which on average are stronger than your average females

Women played in hs and even college level (as kickers) even got to try kicking at the combine iirc and it didn't work out, even as a kicker

Not necessarily. Very few, though. There would most likely be some women that just excelled at sport even more than some men...

I'd say mix non contact sports but keep contact sports separate. Basketball I think would probably the most contact sports I could see mixing as it's not like they are trying to clobber each other.

On the contrary - segregated sports should be ended and the women can freely play for the mens team if they make the cut.

The sport division into men, women and other categories depending on the sport in particular exist for a reason.

Sport on high levels is all about money, what do you think happens when a precedent is set and transgenders are allowed to compete with their non-birth sex? More transgenders being drafted and maybe less succesful players being pressured into transitioning.

In a way, this is not so different from the mechanical augmentation I had to write an ethics paper about.

Women would never make the cut for nfl pr nba. The only major sport where I could see it being remotely feasible would be baseball and even that would probably never happen

There's no need. Professional sports work themselves out. The best of the best athletes make the cut which means the overwhelming majority of men dont even make it. If women could compete with men, they already would be
