Probably because people generally list "North" before "South", in the same way they generally list "Top" before "Bottom".

Or possibly because at the time they were named (and still today, really), most people are closer to the north. The "bottom of the earth" sounds more fitting for a place that's really far away.

Celestial bodies tend to turn/spin. Using the right-hand rule to wrap your fingers in the direction of spin, the direction of your thumb is considered "north". The direction of spin is "east".

Really? I thought that almost everything spins in the same direction. All planets around the sun, the moon around Earth, etc. Just haven't checked our whole Solar system and other stars around the center of the galaxy.

Also, I think it's Neptune that has its spin axis knocked over.

it was a vauce video. it explained way better. it takes into account all the movements of planets, solar systems, and the galaxy. the galaxy as a whole is moving not just spinning.
i have no opinnion on the matter.
