Okay now it looks like they're doing something crazy.

I have a bunch of people whose posts are showing up in my dashboard but not when I view their blog directly.

I'm guessing what's happening is that if you reblog or post something that gets flagged it hides both that post and every post you made after it gets flagged from being viewable on your blog. No idea how long it lasts.

This is madness.

So the above is still happening, but if they've happened to have tagged a post that's missing with a tag (like "ask" or "anon" or anything), if you search that tag on their blog the post will show up.

Legit they just may end up rendering the site completely unusable.

You can no longer search on blogs marked as explicit.

Blog Previews are also disabled on any explicit blog.

On-top of that, posts are being deleted, blogs are being removed, and half of current posts arent being shown on peoples actual blog currently.

Blogs that labeled themselves as explicit are now locked in and cannot change that status.

From what I expect from Tumblrs lazy ass, They will instantly ban all these accounts locked in as explicit on December 17th.

Dont expect your account to be saved if youre locked into this setting.

Please move your blog and followers to a new platform, or make a new SFW blog under a new account. Youve been warned.

Wouldn't surprise me if they deleted explicit marked blogs but I wonder how they're going to handle side blogs then. Like if your primary blog is explicit but you have a non-explicit side blog is that deleted too? I just made one for my NSFW blog so guess I'll see lol

Also noticed the explicit/sensitive flags aren't on post anymore guess they noticed the algorithm was 110% broken and turned it off.

A former staff engineer, who recently left Tumblr and asked to remain anonymous for professional reasons, tells Vox that the NSFW ban was "in the works for about six months as an official project," adding that it was given additional resources and named "Project X" in September, shortly before it was announced to the rest of the company at an all-hands meeting. "[The NSFW ban] was going to happen anyway," the former engineer told me. "Verizon pushed it out the door after the child pornography thing and made the deadline sooner," but the real problem was always that Verizon couldn't sell ads next to porn.

Two former Tumblr employees said they were alarmed when Khalaf chose Black Lives Matter as an example of a community that the company should focus on converting into Yahoo media consumers.
