No one was saying bad things about him the day before he died. But now that he has died you have a group of contrarians who have to point out every bad thing he ever did. Is there political componet for this? I would say yes, because when Carter, Clinton, and Obama die you'll see a lot of hate from conservatives.

I'm not saying that's a good moral principle, it's just the simplest. And a lot of times it's the best one to follow.

No one was protesting against George HW Bush in the days, weeks, months, and even years before he died. The fact that you see the hate now shows just how contrarian it is.

The day someone dies isn't the time to stop airing grievances with them either. Death just means all their bad shit is now history. Dying isn't an action that lightens past actions.

The Internet is not a funeral. People don't call their bosses fucking asshats to their faces, but they might to a friend or random people on the Internet.
