Makes it kind of make no sense that he could play the mountain. I don't think they have those kinds of resources in Game of Thrones to build like he does in real life.

I was watching videos on Brian Shaw's youtube channel. The strongman diet is extreme. 12,000+ calories a day. And obviously the equipment, weights, and gear of our time allows him to train his muscles to strongman status that wouldn't exist in that time and people in game of thrones wouldn't be able to lift to become a strongman without frequent injuries.

Strongman athletes are essentially a product of the time and the plentiful resources of the modern day

Basically the world's strongest man in game of thrones would be no where near Bjornsson or Brian Shaw (Second Strongest Man)

in size and in strength.

Obviously it's fantasy, but the world's strongest man of the middle ages probably wasn't very strong (compared to these guys)

I mean I guess logic doesn't really matter in a book series/ TV show with dragons and magic etc

I'm pretty sure Gregor Clegane is implied to have some sort of gigantism in the book. Not only is he extremely big, he drinks milk of the poppy (ie, opium/morphine) like other people drink ale because he suffers from blinding migraines.

Also, in the show, he has been resurrected from death with side effects.

I feel like this is just an unneeded shot at the show....again. Like you said, dragons and magic, leave it alone otherwise.

Bjornsson

In 2015 he broke a 1,000 year old world record by carrying a log weighing 650kg (1,433lbs) five steps.
