Heh. First, if they are outsiders, most likely they don't even know their votes count half, so that hardly influences their decision to vote. Then, this is just a vote on which game character is more popular. Now, if we're talking actual politics, some people should not only have half-votes, but be barred from voting at all. But that's an entirely different conversation.

Actual politics, a partial vote for a person, and not being allowed to place those votes themselves. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I've contributed to my country, paid my taxes, been a model citizen and somehow you want to have an equal vote to me and I'd say yes. You don't deserve it in my eyes, but neither you or I should get to decide unilaterally.

Also, Starship Troopers is a very strong attack against fascism. It is bluntly pro-democracy.

I didn't name you, and if I implied you... well, you have fair range to be upset at your perceived sleight.. But if you think people would now think you are pro-Russian, I'm not the person you should be concerned with. If you tow the Trump party line everyone thinks you're pro-russia for good reason.

I appreciate the joke here since I voted Noctis and Tidus, but Vlado literally said that some people should be counted for fractions of votes and shouldn't (necessarily) get to cast those votes.

Even if he didn't really mean what he said, you do understand why it sounds so wrong, don't you?

That's what I thought the reason for those obviously false statements was... Well, another example of books >> film adaptations.

It's hilarious because the book was literally banned here during the communist era. It is very telling to see literal Americans parroting the same nonsense our censors here (or in Moscow, whatever) banned it for. Yuri Bezmenov knew what was going on.
