Funny, the first time I saw news of this, there were some key details missing. Like the context of what he's
saying and the fact he's hispanic. He's not calling him a ninja in the derogatory, racist sense, but it's
considered racist on the headlines. This is odd to me since non-black people of color have gotten a pass
for ages on the use of that word in that particular context (My N-). If it's a problem, this is the first I've heard it.

That said, I'm not saying I applaud the dude, but a shitty kid like that was gonna get it somewhere,
somehow. Seems like just the type to bully and intimidate other kids, until he's an adult and messes
with the wrong person. The problem lies with the fact that schools no longer can/will take the fucking
kids gloves off and hold kids responsible for this type of behavior. THAT'S what should be the headline.
The ONLY reason he was up in his teacher's shit was because he knew there was nothing he could do about it.

You know god damn well he wouldn't have did that to his teacher anywhere else, especially if he was a stranger.

I don't think the kid used the n-word in the "fraternal" sense ("Hey, my N-! what's up?"). He meant it in the worst possible way.

And again I'm not saying what happened was right but the kid planned to fight the teacher, told his boys he was going to and did everything in his power to provoke a fight.

In a perfect world nothing happens but that kid was going to keep escalating no matter what.

Something bad happened and the kid did everything to bring it about.

I honestly couldn't hear the audio well because of the quality, but I thought I heard 'my n-'. I have heard
that plenty of times in heated moments between two people about to throw down, even between two black
people. I think it's just a part of the kids' vernacular and probably gets tossed around a lot in other situations,
but that's just me. I don't think it had a racial connotation to it intentionally, it's just a part of his way of speech.

My wife is black and I'm white, and dude I have no idea WTF the reaction would be if one of our two sons
said that. My wife would probably let it slide but pump the brakes on it a little since it's not really in her
vocab, and they'd likely get a pass socially. Realistically, I doubt it ever will hear it from them as they get older.
It's more of a cultural thing that outside of their peers that they aren't really exposed to, but who knows?

Im curious about this well. Honestly, there should be experiments to gauge peoples reactions to stories like this based on race. Like have the same story essentially, but just change the races around to experiment how people react.

Personally, I'm not defending him in the least. He's acting like a total shithead everyone in his life has failed to raise
properly. But I disagree that the intent behind his language is actually racist. I couldn't hear every word, but if
someone thinks a hispanic kid saying 'my n-' is racist, they don't understand that aspect of modern culture at all.

Not saying I even approve of his language, but that specifically can't be racist if people enable it. Not all,
but I've seen too many people of color, even asians, say the same thing in company of black friends
and not be corrected. That said, you could argue that intent doesn't matter, but it still highlights a larger issue.

Pretty sure I was under the assumption as it was entirely racist. He seemed completely hostile also while throwing the basketball at him.
