Lambda from Tales of Graces, mostly because everybody that isnt Sophie and Malik is an insufferable twit and deserves to perish horrifically

Also Wilhelm and Virgil from Xenosaga. Maybe also Albedo, depending on how you feel about Realians. I don't see a problem with resetting the universe over and over until Space Jesus and his waifu get their shit together

To an extent, Cardinal Rowen from Resonance of Fate. Sacrificing 20 people in order to learn how to control god so they can make it so everyone can live forever or at least blessed lives would have been worth it IF it had actually come to fruition. And he's even been plagued by guilt over it, ultimately resulting in him even understanding why the party came after him the way they did. He's almost sympathetic because of the guilt but the fact he did what he did because another controlled his guilt over the death of somebody else, well...

Yes, he did. He failed in destroying the grey wardens, who were the only ones who could've ended the blight. He betrayed his king and the warden's, in their time of need and ran away like a coward. He gave so much fucking power to Arl Howe that it's hilarious. He sold innocent elves to the imperium, he pushed forward a civil war like a tyrant, that he had no way of winning since he was fighting both his kinsmen and dark spawn. His henchmen imprisoned the only person who could've informed him of the dark spawns weakness. He was obstinate in refusing orlais help, putting innocent people into harm's way for his ego.

And he was clinically insane.

He spent the better half of his life fighting against Orlais occupation in Ferelden, finally kicked than out to reclaim Independence for Ferelden, and then the first thing the King wants to do is let them back in with a huge ass army.

Surely it's not hard to understand why that was a bad idea.

All this was to further strengthen Ferelden. Evil? Yeah, but it worked. It didn't destroy Ferelden at all.

A huge part of AA is that you can't really take Justice into your own hands, even if you're morally in the right.

That said, I feel pretty bad for (AA2) Mimi Mini and AA5 DLC "villain"

Those two had a pretty raw fucking deal.

How did Morrigan prove its not true?

I didn't ask for how he felt about Orlais, pretty sure the mature thing in life is to forgive and expect help, where there is a blight happening. It's his king, he has no say in the matter unless he just wants things to happen according to his decision. Asking for Orlais help was the smartest thing Caylan did. Also Caylan may have wanted to divorce Anora, which may have made Loghain betray his king.

Surely you have some form of objectivity in your analysis.

First of all, those elves were ferelden, you're not helping Ferelden, by selling your people. It didn't work at all, the teventiers were pushed back. So whatever outcome Loghain was trying for, ended up being moot. The south was slowly falling to Darkspawn control, Howe is imprisoning people that proved to be Loghains downfall. Nothing Loghain did amounted to anything but slaughter and failure. The warden got the dwarves/golems, mages/templar, elves/ww and all of ferelden to unite. Loghain also tried to kill Eamon, which only weakened Ferelden further.

Loghain tenure ended in arguably the greatest colossal military failure in all of Dragon Age.

I should've said he tried to destroy Ferelden, of course he's going to fail because he's going against the protagonist

Yggdrasill in Tales of Symphonia.
He wanted to end discrimination, especially since he was of the race most heavily discriminated again. He just went about it the wrong way due to being driven mad by his sister's death.

Also, DJ Octavio in Splatoon.
His people--who were banished underground during the great war in the backstory--are running low on power and resources, and he just wants to give them some shining ray of hope, even if it means stealing the power source of the citizens above-ground.
