...Gun ownership isn't the issue, that has nothing to do with the data in that graph. If you're implying Switzerland has similar gun regulations to the US you are very wrong.

Not that it matters since your point is false anyway. States like Alaska, Utah, etc are not poor with large marginalized communities. CA on the other hand certainly does have large amounts of income inequality but has the 8th lowest levels of gun violence.

It's about gun control.

I've never aligned with one party over the other until recently, and my voting history shows that. Today is the first time ever, since 1998 (my first vote), that I went with a straight ticket.

The way I see it, one party has a few, very loud voices, saying terrible things, and a deafening silence from their vast majority. Those things are both wrong, and I can't support that.

NH and VT have the least restrictive gun laws in New England, and the highest amounts of gun violence.

VT no longer applies. Despite being one of the safest states in the country they felt the need to pass a mag ban last year. Never trust Democrats on gun control.

Don't get me wrong, Democrats aren't perfect, but between the two parties, I rather side with the party that does give a shit about me (especially as I'm a minority myself). And that's the Democrats.

Not all Dems give a shit about you either. But, if we get enough dems in, half of them can flip to republican when the white supremacists leave that party and we can vote in some people who actually do care to replace them.

Our election system isn't set up for more than 2 parties. A "viable" 3rd or 4th party at this point does nothing but funnel elections to the party that isn't one of those.

Gun violence is a broad term. If we look only at gun murders nh and vt are extremely low. In 2010 they had 5 and 2 gun murders respectively, and the lowest rates in the NE area.
