nah, voting is the best.

No it's not. Voting is mindless and takes no real effort. The people that get said issues into the system to be voted on? They actually do something. You only care once every x number of years and convince yourself you "did something".

And he's still at least participating in the process. Which is much more than can be said about those that can only shriek their opinions into the air while doing absolutely nothing at all to enact the change that they're whining about.

It is entirely possible to enact change without actually voting. All you need are followers. Take celebrities for example.

I'm not going to vote today because the place I have to go to vote is 20 minutes from my job, and then an hour away from where I live, and it's down pouring and I feel like shit so I just want to go home and relax instead of spending all that time to go vote. I actually do feel guilty not going to vote but I'm sick-ish so whatevs

That doesn't sound right. Usually the polling places are within a couple neighborhoods of where you live, where your description makes it sounds like you're driving to the county election board.

Enter your address here, and see if there's not a polling place closer to you.

I'm voting in favor of deadlock for the duration.

Until all the radical fruitloops get their shit together and learn to play nicely, my vote goes toward nobody playing at all.

There is no further example. I made my point that it is possible.
