Keep DST.

That would be because daylight savings time exists for no reason.

Contrary to popular belief, farmers didn't make any demand for DST.

But you normally spring forward. Though falling... Well, it is easier to catch yourself falling forward, but not as easy when falling back...

The thing is that when someone wakes up to go to school or work or whatever in the winter time, they would be commuting in complete darkness if we didn't go back one hour. It's not something that is fixed by a personal choice of just deciding to wake up later when everyone else operates on a different clock.

Plus, they still have to drive home, which is now in the dark.

That depends on your hours, though. I think for most normal jobs, they probably aren't going home late enough for it to be dark. I would think. Unless it was already close to getting dark when you went home before.

I'd prefer that "Standard Time" go away, and have DST all year. I'd rather have daylight in the evening. And in deep Winter, Standard Time, it's depressingly dark at 7am and 5 pm regardless.

People with "real jobs" need to get up at 4-6am in the morning to ho yo this place called "work". If the system didn't exist the sun would rise around 8am in these parts for half of the year.

I'm at work by 8.

To go further, farmers were/are outright opposed to DST. DST is detrimental to farming in general.

Studies have also shown that not only does it actually potentially up electricity costs contrary to its point, but it has both short and long term detrimental effects on peoples' health. It's just a terrible idea that should be gotten rid of.

IMO, it doesn't really matter since the more north you go, DST won't really protect you against that early sunsets in the winter. You either have to deal with a late sunrise, or a very early sunset. What tradeoff is better?
