Saying they're employed part-time implies a little more strongly that they are employed part-time, however.

Iget that you're impressed by anybody who can get off their ass for 2 minutes, but to filthy normies, a part-time job is insufficient for self-sufficiency.

If you are staying home to finish college, save for a house, or have an exit strategy of some type, you are not a loser.

Also - sometimes there are other circumstances that necessitate living with family. For example, it could be your only family in the area, or you could be a caretaker of your family, or you could be helping with childcare.

There are many reasons for living at home. But if you are freeloading with no plan, then you are a loser.

I lived with my grandparents until I was 32. With houses in the area selling for $500K+ and studio apartments running $1500+ a month, you pretty much had to live with someone, even if you were well employed.

Yeah, most people in NYC for example don't own cars, and a lot of them probably have never driven a car before either.

Stop giving a crap for what society says. If the people involved (which are you and your parents in this case) are happy with this situation, then there's absolute no problem. Otherwise, you should at least be doing something to change that in the future. I also live with my parents and am saving money to buy my own home (it will take a lot of time to save enough and I'm not going to waste money on a rent), but they don't mind me being there so whatever. Actually... my mother will probably be sad when I move out.

I don't, and I don't plan on learning it unless it becomes an absolute necessity in my life. Car's value don't increase over time like with terrain properties, and you're always risking getting jailed because of accidents. I much rather spending money on something else.

You think that California's rough as far as housing's concerned, you should try Hawaii. In the 1990s it took 4 people to rent a small house with all 4 working full time. I shudder to think how much it must cost to live there now.

Idk, it seems pretty easy for something bad to happen, and I'm a very distracted person, which probably makes the risk skyrocket. I don't want to run over anyone by accident.

You can't be criminally negligent if you only place yourself in situations where you can be negligent about everything, but none of them are criminal. That's enough for me.

I'm 28 and still do and I'm not ashamed of it either because making 10.68 an hour does not afford a decent apartment or the bills. So thankfully, I live in a house that is all paid off, and drive an extra car that is also paid off. Things could be worse, but hey... at least its really not all that bad.. yeah, I work a dead end factory job but hopefully by next year I can start to finally look into some office work in the data entry field that can offer a bit more then what I make now.
