He definitely will move to 3rd place by the end of the season, barring a major injury, likely to reach 2450-2500. But I think he could finish his career with around 3200.

Will easily be the best 3 point shooter we've ever seen, but it's much harder to say more at the moment. Hall of Famer, Legend, Icon, yeah he'll be all of those. But considering his game is like, 80% 3 point shooting (or at least it feels that way), I really don't know how to compare him to other guys we would apply those same honorifics to.

I'd say he's somewhere between 15-25 overall at this point in his career, but (barring a catastrophic injury) he'll definitely be the #1 greatest 3-point shooter of all time and somewhere in the top 10 overall. Especially for insane shit like this:

Only 13 times has somebody scored 11 or more 3s in a game. Curry has six of those. Nobody else has more than one.

It's hard to compare him to players of different styles and eras. But I think it's fair to say that he's the best at what he does in history.

Okay, disregarding wilt entirely since he was able to average literally 50 points a game on over 50% shooting, lets look at Jordan. Jordan has averaged over 30 points a season eight times, shooting over 50% on six of those seasons, and no less than 48% on any of them. Curry has only shot over 50% for a season once, and has only averaged 30 points (exactly 30, not more than) once. Curry is on his tenth season. Minus Jordans wizard years, he only played 13 seasons total.

On top of all of that, defense back in the day was much tougher because players were much more physical. Many less calls on hard fouls. Hand checking was allowed.

And if you wanna talk about the playoffs, Michael Jordan literally averaged over 30 points EVERY SINGLE YEAR he was in the playoffs EXCEPT his rookie year. Dude averaged FORTY-FUCKING-THREE points in the playoffs in his second year in the league. Curry has never averaged 30 points in the playoffs.

So yeah. Gtfo.

Again, how can you not easily say he is the greatest three point shooter of all time? Ray Allen says he is. Who else even comes close besides Allen and miller?

-Wilt couldn't do everything he did today's game with today's talent. no sense in mentioning him for those obvious, goes without saying reasons.

Curry can literally shoot and score from anywhere on the court. because he can dribble his ass off, Curry creates shots. Jordan got a taste of that with Iverson, and Curry is more talented at making points. if these two are playing HORSE, I'd expect a Curry win as well.

I did NOT say that Curry is a better player than Jordan, though. Jordan was stronger so could take contact better at the rim. Jordan's hands were huge so he could make plays that were physically impossible for many. His IQ made him a threat on both ends of the floor, but only one end is relevant to the conversation. foh with your goalposts shifting.

Curry isn't some prodigy. he went from that dude playing sidekick to Monta Ellis to being the most talented shooter in the game today. Jordan never shot and scored the way Curry does.

MJ is the GOAT. in a standard 1 on 1 game, Jordan wins. if I'm in the playoffs, I'm still going to want Jordan because he isn't JUST a talented shooter.

I agree, he is a better shooter. Dude said better scorer. Those are two completely different things.

Curry is able to make more threes than everybody ever, and still not average more than a lot of people because he is not as versatile as many other players. He is the greatest shooter of all time, but there are a handful of players that are better scorers because he goes cold many nights and has to rely on the rest of his (hall of fame) team. And thats not a knock on him, thats just how it is.

Jordan took higher percentage/smarter shots, thus a higher FG%. if Curry limited his 3's and did what felt safest, there's no telling what his FG% would look like. no need to speculate though. you already acknowledge that Curry is a better shooter.
