When I'm on a campaign and we take a break and I'm trying to find the right stream for my fantasy lineup I've had people I was campaigning with tell me its dumb. I mean they're both for fun and both for competition, I never understood why the medium causes so much of a rift sports are more popular and have been around a lot longer than D&D. additionally, there's a tribal fandom in football where people are all rooting for a certain team and other people are rooting for a different one and they're all trying to get to be the one that gets to claim victory.
