Sometimes, there are certain ones that you have to have physical... That being said, if you can convert it to digital, that would work. But hopefully, you don't lose it or corrupt it somehow...

If it's digital and you have a separate /tmp partition, unmount it then copy shit to /tmp. It will actually copy it to the /tmp directory on the ROOT filesystem. then when you remount /tmp, the directory becomes a pointer, pointing to the real one, but without removing any of your files in the physical directory on the root system. No one will ever find them unless /tmp fails to mount, or they're looking for it. even if they're looking for it, they'll see them in /tmp and assume they're garbage, that is if you name them right.

From kids? In a liquor box on the shelf in a closet.

From anyone else? Spread all around the house like Easter eggs.

Put it in a duffel bag and hide it under a neighbor's house. I totally didn't do that when I was a kid.

If it's digital the simplest way is probably password encrypted archives, or an encrypted partition. There are various ways to hide and disguise files too.
