In an op-ed published this Tuesday, Boys tackled the sad, sickening saga surrounding the sexual assault allegations against SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Needless to say, Boys is *skeptical* about Christine Blasey Fords allegation that Kavanaugh held her down on a bed and grinded against while trying to take off her clothes.

Everyone must keep in mind that there is a miniscule (sic) possibility that her accusations are true just as there is small chance that there are little green men on Mars, Boys wrote.

Boys claims that he truly wants justice to prevail and that hes not interested in some leftwing or rightwing agenda.
But later in the piece, he refers to feminists as female fascist progressives who dont care about justice, truth, honesty, and fairness. So much for his alleged impartiality.

Then theres this:

According to Boys, some common sense definitions are necessary when it come to the accusations against Kavanaugh.

Rape is having sex with a woman while she screams for help. No scream, no rape according to Deuteronomy 22:23-24. Ford says Kavanaugh held his hand over her mouth so did she scream for help when his hand was elsewhere? After all, it was in a bedroom of a house; surely, one of the other 4 teens could have heard him scream when she bit his hand. Did she bite his hand? Poke him in the eye? Women know instinctively how to protect their honor: screaming, shouting, slapping, spitting, slugging, and stabbing with a finger, pencil, or hat pin. Since she did not cry out or stab him, I will not believe her without a film of the event.

Boys interpretation of the bible passage he cited is spurious as best. The passage reads: If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her, you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to deaththe young woman because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another mans wife. You must purge the evil from among you.

Calling for the stoning deaths of people unfaithful to their potential spouses is despicable and immoral, but thats all the passage does. It doesnt attempt to define rape as to whether or not the victim screams.

Boys attempt to hold Fords accusations to a biblical standard continues:

Moreover, Matthew 18:16 clearly commands that there must be at least two witnesses to validate a charge against a person. This is a repeat of Old Testament law. Ford has no witnesses. The other man who was allegedly there, Mark Judge said, Its just absolutely nuts. I never saw Brett act that way. This week, another teen that was supposed to be there Patrick J. Smyth said the incident did not happen. That should settle it; now lets all go home, pull down the shades, and get some sleep.

a significant portion of christians want it to be like that though. christianity has come a long way in the past 10-20 years (catholicism especially), but there are still plenty of people that want to use religion as a means of discrimination and other awful shit, and those people are just as much practitioners of it as the people who don't want that

I'd think the people who'd support kavanaugh for evidence reasons would also support Cosby for the same reason unless they had ulterior motives to support the former but not the latter.
