Also need to actually get Nylander signed before he's contributing anything, and he'll likely be rusty for a while regardless, and Marleau is going to age out of effectiveness some day and it will hurt if it's this year. They'll be a playoff team for sure, but I think there are enough question marks and weaknesses to feel comfortable predicting they won't make the finals. Your top 4 defenseman arent that bad. I generally do pick a team to cheer for, but it's not quite the same. It's better when that team wins, but I don't really care much when they lose. I expect them to challenge for a playoff spot, not sure if I predict them to actually get one since the Central division is going to take both wild card spots in all likelihood, but I feel good about them at least being in the race when the trade deadline comes. Tackling isn't allowed in basketball. Football has regressed a lot especially because of the new rule that makes every tackle on the QB roughing the passer. Basketball has done the opposite and actually progressed. Yes the foul calls and stoppages were unbearable 3+ years ago buts it's much better now and the game flows freely and isn't as long.
