Having never played Rondo of Blood I pre-ordered it just to buy SotN again. So it is nice to hear the other one is worth it as well.

Both games are the originals emulated for the PlayStation 4, with several updates that take advantage of the new hardware. This includes 4K/1080p upscaling, multiple high resolution backgrounds, different rendering options such as smoothing and full Trophy support. Word of warning though, that Platinum will be tough to get. Elsewhere, Requiem will make use of the DualShock 4s vibration, analog stick and speaker, with the latter meaning youll hear a cool little chime when you pick up an item.

Saturn version that looks/loads/plays like the Playstation version.

That would be the Saturn version. It had a new area, some new enemies and new items, as well as playable Maria, but it suffered from technical issues so nobody likes it much. It was also never released outside Japan.

The PSP version only borrowed two things from it- Maria being playable (although with a different moveset), and Alucard having to fight Maria to get a key item rather than her just handing it over in a cutscene.

Saturn had 1 new area, 1 new hallway, 1 new boss, a couple new enemies/weapons/items and Maria was a playable character.
It also had more loading occurrences, slower loading times, and worse graphics.

360 version was PS1 with the FMVs removed for space back when XBLA had a 200MB limit, and at some point they patched it to replace the original credits song I Am the Wind with a track from Lament of Innocence.

The PSP version would be fine. Outside of some the iconic lines, the original dub is the weirdest, campiest thing. Better Alucard, but not much else.

Rondo is my #1 favorite castlevania game and sotn is my #2

also the original sotn voice acting is the best and it's actually really rad if you think about it
