I guess this is just coming from a different sort of gaming background but I find it hilarious that you grouped all the melee weapons into a single option and have 4 different spots for 4 different sorts of guns <_<

I've always been a fan of the more typically long-range melee weapons: spears, staves, scythes, etc

Yeah that's a fair criticism. It just seems that mechanically they tend to be similar to use.

Depends on the genre. In shooting games like Call of Duty, Borderlands, and Fatal Bullet, I like having up-close gunfights with SMG's, shotguns, and handguns. But in all other genres of games, including (MMO)RPG's and fighting games, I like playing keep-away with projectiles. I usually used magic in MMO games like Runescape and Maplestory, and in fighting games I usually main "zoner" characters that have a long reach, like Platinum in Blazblue, Chandelure in Pokken Tournament, and Robin/Charizard in Smash Bros. Even when I use characters in fighting games that primarily use melee attacks, they're ones with a long reach, like Nightmare in Soul Calibur, or Ike in Smash Bros.

So I'd say either magic/elemental attacks or SMG's would be my #1, but since SMG's aren't a poll option, I'll go with the first choice.

Either as large of a sword as possible, or a spear. Especially if you can use the spear for mobility, Monster Hunter style.

Not really a huge FPS gamer, but shotguns and pistols were my fav in COD back in the day. Wasn't good at them, but whatever. Drunk nights playing zombies w/ friends were best of times and the worst of times.

Pretty much anything but explosives.

I remember there was a mission in Halo 1 or 2 where you can drive a Scorpion tank and just destroy everything, but that's boring so i would always pick up a ghost instead.

Sniper rifles are typically the most boring unless they're games like Battlefield.
