I was about to hand in my resignation again recently but I got a raise which just took affect in August (I worked 7 months without extra compensation for much more work). My net amount is $200 higher per paycheck.

Now I am think of staying until November and saving money, and then quitting.

Or, if I stay through Christmas, I will likely get a $5,000 Christmas bonus again (or more) and then I could quit right after that in January.

Overall, I could have an extra $14,000 if I stay until January and then get $2,600 back when I file the taxes for 2018.

I mean that it's great in comparison to the $2,100 per month I was making prior, but who cares if it is below the median income? I live at home so I have no debt and few expenses, so I can save most of that money instead of spending $1,500+ of it on rent and utilities. By January I can have $100,000.

Im just saying that if the purpose of this topic is to show off, it isnt doing a very good job. Below median income + freeloading at home isnt impressive and wont win you any dates.

Again, I said that it's much more than I was making before this raise. Right now, I'd rather have my current salary and net worth and no debt than have $4,000 higher salary but a huge amount of debt:

My own boss makes $10,000 more than me (above median income) but can barely afford to pay off her credit card bill.

Oh it's a gimmick? I see.

In any event, even this current salary is low compared to the amount I should be making for all the work I do. I really should be making $65,000-70,000 but I'm planning to leave soon anyway after saving up a bit more.

Crypto isnt "investing". It is gambling. Only idiots think otherwise. It is literally a zero-sum game where a few people cash out big and everyone else loses everything. That is like saying you invest in lottery tickets.

I like gambling every now and then. What's life without a few vices?
