Hard pass.

My radio seldom strays from the classical station on FM and talk radio (and sometimes Tejano) on AM.

I prefer to listen to audiobooks though.

It almost surely is. The station I worked at sold for just over 3 million barely over 6 years ago. Another station the same company purchased at the same time was just sold again..... For 650k.

And they paid 4 million for that one. Lol.

Hmm... *flips on am/fm radio*

Commercials > DJ talks during the intro of a song that they've overplayed that day > DJ interrupts song towards the end > DJ talks to some callers wanting tickets when they clearly missed the cutoff > generic song > commercial > repeat

It's a wonder why I didn't stop listening to it sooner.

Every once in a while when I don't have anything specific I feel like listening to. I'm in SoCal, and the six stations I have programmed in my car are:

93.1 (Jack FM)
95.5 (KLOS)
98.7 (Think it's called STAR? Or The Sound?)
102.7 (KISS FM)
105.9 (Power 106)
106.7 (KROQ)

Lol. A guy at work listened to that station on some app. He discovered and fell in love with depeche mode like 2 months ago.

No, I do not. I noticed every time I would hop in my car it would go like this:

Hop in car
Turn on radio
Eitehr somebody was talking about some BS I don't care about or it was a commercial
Change station
Same thing
Turn off radio

Now I bring my iPod with me for nonstop commercial free music. If the radio didn't give out free tickets they'd be long gone.

Interesting. I'm 55 and I had never heard of Depeche Mode until I played Left 4 Dead some years back, and one of the game characters had that name on her T-shirt. I had to google the name to find out what the hell it was. Fairly certain I have never heard their music, unless it was in that game.

I stopped listening to the radio in the early 80's.

I listen to Pandora, and sometimes if I'm at a restaurant or other establishment I might hear music playing.

I take public transit and walk, so I don't get exposed to car radio. And even if I did drive a car i would probably still jist use Pandora instead of the actual radio.

During high school and my early college years (2005-11) I listened to WSTB allll the time. It was always a disappointment turning it on Sundays and hearing the Oldies Jukebox lol. I rarely listen to the radio anymore (it's Spotify 99% of the time now) but if I do it's 91.3, which is also listener-supported
