I don't think I've even heard of the Marvel version of Thor until the end of Spider-man 2 Enter Electro where he made that cameo in the newspaper.

I did play both Marvel Ultimate Alliance games before his movies came out. As well as watched Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

The third one was stupid. Crappy forced out of character humor. Literally every character was a Flanders. The only thing good about that movie was sexy milf Cate Blanchett

Thor is great in the comics.

The hard thing about his early comics is Donald Blake, which is why the 80's is peak Thor.

My Dad had a whole collection so I read through it all growing up.

That certainly was what caught my attention to Thor #337. But his whole run on Thor was solid all the way through. And a lot of the old Lee/Kirby was good too. Simonson did so well, it's been hard for me to really stick with Thor after he was done. He really set the bar.

My biggest dislike of Thor after Simonson was the use of a earthly anchor, Donald Blake. Was not a fan of it at all.

The next time I enjoyed Thor was Jurgens/Romita Jr when Marvel started with issue #1 back in the late 90's.
