Saying things like "____ sucks" and bottom shaming are so common I don't even register it as being anti-gay. And what about fuck? Saying something like "we're fucked" or "you're boned" is in a similar vein, and simply means that one done screwed the pooch. So to speak. And "suck" is an odd case anyway. IIRC it actually originated from the phrase "go suck an egg" which means "get lost", "get bent" or "you stink" etc. If you know me at all you've probably seen me use the phrase "_____ sucks, and not in a good way" which implies the dick aspect in an amusing manner. For example, one of Sacha Baron Cohen's victims is a hardcore right-winger who's so scared of Muslims that he was willing to be on camera with his ass showing screaming "MURICA". We're not laughing "Haha gay", we're laughing at the gayness that we think is not an affront to God being foisted onto these homophobic conservatives. It's like glitter bombing the Westboro Baptist Church. Do we think glitter is bad? No, not to us.
