The plot lines were overly simplistic, seemingly written for children. Even down to the names of things the show felt like I was watching like Nick Jr or Sesame Street. "Republic City" "Satu-mobiles" Then of course almost every conflict is solved by a deus ex-machina. And the outside fan-fiction material began to influence the writing of the show. To the point where it made the characters seem incredibly poorly written. I honestly think the only reason why people like the show is because either they are 8 years old or they have a huge nostalgia boner for the original series.
