2) They know Republican leaders don't give a shit about them, but vote for them anyway because feminists, gays, abortions, non-white people, religious minorities etc etc are a serious threat and MUST be stopped at all costs.

I don't see how anyone votes for either party since they're basically a false dichotomy whose actual legislative accomplishments are not nearly as different as their publicized political views.

Voters are just pawns in a system that keeps these two parties in power regardless of how terrible they are, under the pretense that the other side is more terrible.

So you won't be voting for the incumbent in 2020 right? Cause right now we're seeing a administration pushing for bigger government, regulations increase, and tax dollars spent frivolous while still drumming up a deficit. Oh, and that's without any funding eventually going towards a wall.

So ya, all fine reasons, just not what's actually happening.

I didn't vote for the president in the last one. Trump is a joke.

The thing that people seem to forget is that the vast majority of voters aren't on Facebook spewing Trump's talking points. Or the talking points of whoever will be running in 2020. The vast majority of people aren't walking around in MAGA hats calling black people racist names. Same way the vast majority of the left aren't in Antifa or similar organizations.

If you vote republican for small government you're delusional

There are no more small government political parties except the libertarians and their base feels the need to go to the extreme

But a genuine small government politician? Hah! And it'll be the death of us...reason why politics is getting so damn bad is because the state has gotten so big that it affects all parts of our lives.

Completely agree. It's, as always, the vocal minority for the most part. I'll be curious to see who runs against Trump though. I'd like to say a strong conservative/libertarian will come out strong (let's be honest this would be the best election in a long time to have a strong chance to take a third party win) but that's just a joke of hope lol.

I hate the fact that just because I'm registered Republican means automatically to a lot of people that I love Trump. That I voted for Trump. That I hate Mexicans. That I hate gay people.

Literally none of that is true.

But sadly a third party has so little chance in the US. And my complaints above come from this fact. If there existed a party that was called the "Small Government and Gay People Are Cool With Me" I would join.

Literally every decision is a damn game nowadays.

The links that people keep posting above will be a "game" on the news tonight. Why (insert party) is wrong and we are right.

Don't get me wrong, I understand an issue such as abortion isn't a cut and dry, right and wrong, type situation. I understand that gun rights have two vastly opposed sides and both make sense.

But then you look at things like the whole "kids in cages" thing. What did we see? Fighting. Fighting on TV news and talkshows, fighting on Facebook, fighting on the comments section of news sites...

What should have been said is "okay maybe this situation is a little fucked up, surely there's better places to put these kids." I don't recall seeing that said. All I saw were "THEY ARE KIDS!" versus "Fuck them, they are illegals, who cares"

Sorry, rant over.

Republicans I know basically vote that way because they are all-in on the trickle down economics and true believers, plus most of them are really anti-abortion and pro-gun. No one I know really cares too much about gay marriage or border issues/immigration, etc. But all that could be regional things I guess.

That's why I think it's dumb to put blanket hate on either side. Most people that vote the way they do may be ill-informed but what they believe they are voting for generally isn't something abhorrent. Trump makes that tougher, I guess... although I know a lot more Trump voters than Trump supporters if that makes any sense.

This is the problem with some lefties. They never even take a moment to sit down and try to understand the other party. It's always taking the easy way out and grouping them into a deplorable category so you can sit back and demonize them to feel better about yourself.

"they must be bigots!!! That's must be it!!"

And then you turn around and wonder why every Republican you try to talk to is upset with you.

LMAO

First of all, there is no "alt left". There *is* a far left, in the form of communist or ultra-socialist movements. But the "alt" term was coined by your guys (the alt right). You just need a boogeyman to deflect to.

Second, there is a HUGE overlap between trump supporter and alt-right. Do you remember all those people at Charlottesville wearing MAGA caps? Do you remember that alt-right dinner where they said heil trump?

Nobody sees a candidate call a specific ethnic group rapists and criminals and thinks "I have nothing against said group, but I just heard this guy say that and it made me want to support him!"

Ok, I'll agree with your first two points. Really just different names for the same group of extremists. That's fine. I think we agree both extremes are really...awful.

Just because some crazies, who also happen to Support Trump, are insane, doesn't mean you should be against Trump. Why do you give groups like the KKK and whatever other racists such power? These people should be ignored. Furthermore, don't you think a group like the KKK is self aware? I mean, they're racists and scumbags...but are they completely idiotic? Probably not. They probably know that whoever they endorse would be negatively portrayed in the media. They're literally controlling you right now. Please ignore them going forward. If you want my opinion: I think they endorsed the person they disliked more. It makes sense, no? They certainly know the media will portray it negatively.

GOP is nothing they claim to be. They cant hide behind the facade of fiscal responsibility after their massive spending bill in the spring. They pretend to be small government, except they want the government to interfere to stop women from having abortions, gays from being married. They put all of the governments efforts into separating families at the border and all of the sudden when they are forced to reunite them they dont have the resources.

Its just bullshit they feed the masses so they can cut government services and sell them off to their friends in the private sector.

Same shit both sides, neither party actually gives a fuck about anyone but themselves, the 2016 election alone should have proved this beyond a shadow of a doubt, to say nothing of the decades of previously mounting evidence.

But nope, still got fools up in here trying to pretend their side is "the good guys". Blow it out your collective, lying asses.

Also, someone tell me what Trump did with Israel, again? The only President who had the balls to do what was right for the Jewish religion and people.

Any notion that he is a "nazi" is utterly absurd.

Main reason I don't even have to think about who I'm voting for is abortion. #1 priority for everyone on Earth should be protecting human life. Democrats support ageist genocide.

the average Republican slobbers at mouth over the prospect of nuking the middle east and NK so this is wrong too

Nazis love Israel because it's exactly the sort of ethnostate they wish to create for whites

Why wouldn't Trump love a state that kills dozens of people for the crime of protesting near a fence?

I voted for them because they're the only ones who even seem to give a shit about me, the average white male.

Lol.

But the sad thing is people actually believe this.
