Don't get me wrong, I understand an issue such as abortion isn't a cut and dry, right and wrong, type situation. I understand that gun rights have two vastly opposed sides and both make sense. But then you look at things like the whole "kids in cages" thing. What did we see? Fighting. Fighting on TV news and talkshows, fighting on Facebook, fighting on the comments section of news sites... What should have been said is "okay maybe this situation is a little fucked up, surely there's better places to put these kids." I don't recall seeing that said. No one I know really cares too much about gay marriage or border issues/immigration, etc. But all that could be regional things I guess. That's why I think it's dumb to put blanket hate on either side. Most people that vote the way they do may be ill-informed but what they believe they are voting for generally isn't something abhorrent.
