I've only played the first one, but it was really fun - captured the mood/theme of the VH movie if you are into that.
Two caveats though - there is little to no documentation or instruction manual, the in game tutorial is rather.. scant. Second, the difficulty ramps up quite a bit in the last third of the game...

pisses me off the game downloads all texture packs so even if you dont want to run at graphic whore lvls you need to dl 80gb
