Talking cars obviously. So when you fill up $20 of gas, set aside $20 of cash for repairs.

Ive never heard of that rule. That amount sounds high for maintenance, especially considering that gas is a lot more expensive in the UK than it is here in America

Costs me 15 quid a week to fill up. But then just last week I got hit with an 80 quid bill to get windscreen wipers fixed -_-

As long as you dont get in accidents I dont think that would hold true for most Japanese cars.

$1 of maintenance will cover a lot more on a Honda or Toyota than it would on a BMW, for example. That's also assuming you get the most fuel efficient BMW.
