Fair. But hearing people talk about BBTAG, you'd think that GG is unquestionably the better game. And GG has had some legendary hype moments these past two years.

Everyone thinks GG is one of the better fighting game series, period.

That doesn't mean anyone really plays it. Anime fighters are always niche and seeing BBTAG even get over 1000 is kind of impressive in itself.

I think I'll just stick to the side tournaments this time, the main games on offer here just aren't all that exciting to watch imo

back in 2016 they had about 5000 now it's half that number, that's a bad sign

It would have felt so damn good to see Crosstag blow out Smash's numbers, not a knock on smash itself but it's community can go fuck itself. greedy and smelly does not win you any friends.

not necessarily. 5k was because it was a new sf that people didn't think they'd get. capcom was even denying it at some point.

sf is usually in the 2000s range otherwise, so it's on par for now.

We can only hope. Kill off Melee from the big competition so Melee geeks are forced to start Ultimate if they want to keep being on the big scenes.

Eh? Skullgirls and Injustice were made by American companies, and Guilty Gear and Cross Tag Battle were made by Japanese companies. Doesn't sound like I'm saying anything about Japanese vs American companies.
