20 y/o Murderer, Jordan Brown had his MURDER conviction OVERTURNED by Pennsylvania's highest court on Wednesday and is now a FREE MAN after they ruled his conviction "unjust"!!

Jordan was 11 years old when he shot dead his Dad's 26 y/o PREGNANT fiancee in 2009

The Supreme Court ruled 5-0 and cleared him of wrongdoing on the murder of Kenzie Houk who was 8 months pregnant when she was found shot dead in the family's rural western Pennsylvania farmhouse

It reversed a finding by a juvenile court judge and upheld by a state appelate court that he was guilty of 1st degree murder and homicide of an unborn child because prosecutors didn't provide enough evidence to support their cirumstanial evidence.

They attacked the evidence stating that the shotgun in the boy's bedroom as the murder weapon "suppported an equally reasonable conclusion" that it wasn't the murder weapon

Kenzie was found dead in a pool of blood with a shotgun blast to the back of her head and Jordan was tried as a juvenile affter his lawyers fought the original decision to try him as an adult. He has maintained his innocence since the murder and his lawyer, Kate Burdick said "justice was long overdue"

She would not discuss where he is now other than he is still in Ohio

Kenzie's 2 other daughters who are now 13 and 21 were living with their grandparents after the shocking murder

On the day of the murder, Jordan's Dad, Chris was at work leaving Kenzie and the 3 kids at home. Jordan and the older daughter went to catch the school bus as the younger daughter was home with Kenzie and found her mother's dead body telling a member of a tree service that her mother was dead.

The court said a state police first investigated Kenzie's ex bf since he has made threats in the past as she had a permanent restraining order against him. 2 weeks before the murder, her ex bf receved a paternity test that the youngest daughter was NOT his. The night before the murder, he confronted her parents in a nightclub that resulted in his ejection from the club.

Jordan had said he saw a black pickup truck near their house on the day of the murder but the ex bf was excluded as a suspect since it was concluded he was not there.

Prosecutors then pinned it on Jordan because he felt "left out" of the family and cited evidence of family clashes between him and Kenzie previously as he was jealous that the baby was getting more attention from his Dad. He also had GUNSHOT residue on his clothing and a newly spent shell casing found along the driveway where he walked to the bus that day. He had apparently walked back to the house rather than go on the school bus with the oldest daughter as well which made him the prime suspect.

Do you think this Kid was the murderer based on the evidence?.

One would assume he did it if all evidence points that way.

There's not even a lot of circumstantial evidence but the gunshot residue is pretty damning.

Uh, the courts just found that he *didn't* do it...

If an 11 y/o actually did it, they'd pretty easily be able to establish that. The fact that their case was flimsy strongly suggests he didn't do it.

lolwut? The kid had regular access to a firearm and, as such, likely fired it on a regular basis. The presence of gunshot residue on a gun user isn't particularly meaningful, even before you consider transference. It would be damning on somebody who supposedly *didn't* have any access to a gun, though...

No other suspects, the sister herself said that she saw him throw something on the ground as he was running to the bus. Nobody else inside the house between when the father left for work and the sister alerted the tree service people. No other footprints or tire tracks in the snow. Just a dead woman, a recently fired 20-gauge shotgun, a recently discharged 20-gauge shell and GSR on the kids clothes. Damning evidence.

No other suspects,

Not really a compelling argument. Especially since it seems like they had an exceptionally good suspect -- ie, an ex making death threats -- that they just randomly wrote off.

Where is that in the story? And what would he have thrown exactly? If you think it's the casing, there's not much reason to take the casing with them let alone throw it on the driveway when he could have more easily disposed of it somewhere else. And, if it happened *while* the sister was around, wouldn't she have heard the shot?

And, if the sister is making shit up, that just raises new questions.

Again, not a real argument.

Overlooking all of these not-mentioned references to snow, it certainly seems at the very least it could have been *anybody* inside the house? Given the massive amount of reasonable doubt here, the fact that it got a conviction the first time is insane.

I don't remember seeing this...

Also, there seems to be enough reasonable doubt...

Ex had an alibi

"After shooting Houk, the boy ran to get on a school bus with the 7-year-old, who saw him toss something from his pocket on the ground, Bongivengo said. Police later found a spent 20-gauge shotgun shell at that spot."

Do your own research, Zeus. We both know duckbear usually doesn't include all of the facts. The tree service employee testified that the only footprints that he saw in the snow were two sets that were too small to be an adults. And out of "anybody" inside the house, only one had GSR on their clothes.
