The landscape around here is beautiful. I'm kinda missing home already, though.

My job sent me up here to fix network connectivity issues at a road show sales event they're having. Fortunately, there is a much lesser known cellular service provider that only provides service to this area.

Verizon works fine until tons of Verizon users from all over the country come to the same area. This was killing the connectivity for our credit card machines. So they had me fly into Salt Lake City, UT and take a rental car to the location in Wyoming.

Almost got all of the issues straightened out...
- New cellular provider performs much better during the event
- Power cable to the point of sale was missing... Got a new one from Staples.
- Receipt printer wasn't working at all... Fixed that a few minutes ago

The toughest part about all of this, outside of the travel, is trying to handle the normal stuff that goes on at the office at the same time as I'm trying to fix all of this stuff. Especially since I don't get cell phone service at all in Wyoming (I have Sprint). I have to rely on a 4g lte hotspot myself just to find my way around with Google Maps and send text messages. Wifi calls over 4g lte in this area kinda suck.

Not much. There's a national high school rodeo competition going on, but that's about it.

Yeah, I'll be flying back to Austin today.

I flew into Salt Lake City, UT and drove a rental car to Rock Springs, WY.

We use to vacation in Utah and Wyoming every summer when I was as a kid. My parents love it up there. Jackson Hole is a really nice tourist city in WY. Not much else to do in the state other than go camping (Green River Lakes is beautiful).

Rocky Springs? Is that anywhere near Yellowstone. Because outside of Yellowstone and Jackson Hole, Wyoming pretty much sucks.

Enjoy I-25. They have fences, but the Antelope can still spring in front of your car leaving one hell of a mess.

I haven't been personally, but I honestly don't see how I would ever be bored in a place like that. I'm a pretty big outdoorsman and the hiking alone would last me years

In fact I really need to put Wyoming near the top of my hiking list. Maybe top 3 for upcoming big hiking trips?

1) Montana
2) Havasupai Falls
3) Wyoming

Oh yeah man Yellowstone alone is fucking amazing. It's huge, animals around every turn. Montana has amazing fishing too. I am really thinking about going back as soon as I can.

My best friend and I had a big trip to Montana planned for August, but some unexpected life situations happened and we had to cancel it. I've been bummed about it for a month

Gonna atleast try and salvage the situation some by hitting a huge waterfall state park in Georgia, but it won't come even close to comparing

That sucks. Yellowstone is perfect in August. It can get cold in the middle of the night but it's the best time all things considered.

Western Montana is gorgeous. I lived in the Central part of the state for 3 years. I'd go back there in a heart beat if I could.
