I mean Devil and God has its moments and Jesus Christ is a pretty great song, but this album follows too much of a pattern. Almost every song starts out really slow and quiet, mumbling lyrics that don't make much sense, and then when they hit the chorus part they all start yelling at the top of their lungs. I just don't get it.
Whereas Deja Entendu is perfect, every song connects with me and I care about the stories being told and can sing along with every word. ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's basically like a full album of Me vs Maradona vs Elvis. A great, awesome song, but the whole album shouldn't be like that.

I liked the first four songs of 'The Devil and God.' The rest is whatever.
I consider 'Deja Entendu' a 10/10 album. Was pleasantly surprised by 'Science Fiction.' Brand New has never really had an album that disappointed me. --- "I am for like it but on xbox, I did Titanfall as we were for cant destiny and Titanfall, side by side, I haven't much am for it, maybe seven?" - Over ... Devil and God is more creative and shows more brilliance. The 3 song stretch from Degausser to You Won't Know is excellent, though I lose motivation to finish the album after that.
Deja is solid and consistent but it's really just a collection of songs. Some of the better music in the genre and excellent lyrics, but it doesn't really blow me away. I've been listening to Science Fiction today when I can (but I keep getting interrupted with fuckin customers calling me).
It's seeming better than Devil and God but still I guess I'm just not a big fan of how the band changed. I feel like their first 2 albums are amazing and they were my favorite band in the genre, then I just fell off from their "new" style. ... Copied to Clipboard!
