TC you live in New York and you get Papa John's?

As I mentioned, many of the local places in NYC are actually not that great. There's a huge amount of pizza places in NYC but it's not like all of them are fantastic and I would still have to spend the effort to try all of them out.

Yeah of chain pizza its my favorite but I rarely to never go there as chain pizza is pretty garbage and I have at least 2 options nearby that are way better.

In a pinch I would prefer $5 pie from Little Caesars if Im slumming for a cheap fix.

Not a fan but Ill say its better than a Happys Pizza or Little Caesars. Caesars I can forgive because its $5. Jets Pizza and Papa Romanos are my favorite fast food pizzas but theyre basically non existent here in Arizona. I know of only one Jets here and Romanos isnt even here. Closest is in Colorado, not exactly around the corner.

I actually like their breadsticks as much as Pizza Hut's, just in a different way (it helps that you can eat PJ's breadsticks cold, whereas PH's can pretty much be used to hammer nails). But their pizza is pretty 'meh' to be honest. IMO, I would rate the local pizza places near me:

Pizza Hut
Jet's (#2 only b/c PH has more variety)
Hungry Howie's
Marco's (good, but insanely greasy)
Papa John's
Dominos

The Papa John's in my area is usually better than the Pizza Hut. I don't know if my Pizza Hut just sucks or what, but it's kind of nasty. It used to be my favorite pizza place as a kid too.

I'd say Domino's is better than both, though.

In terms of big pizza chains it's my favorite but there's a good local place a few blocks away from me that's so much better.

Man, when I was a kid (30+ years ago), Little Caesar's was the shit. Then they started to suck (at least the ones around where I live).

The quality varies more, whereas at least it is more or less consistent at each Papa John's location. I go to the same local place 1 block away from me and pizza from each pie tastes substantially different.

I do, plays havoc with my guts though.

Love their huge pizzas, mainly order dominos though, I'd get pizza hut more if cheesy bites weren't only available on select days, lol.

There a Little Caesars by my parents house that makes some of the best Little Caesars out there. Turns out the guy who owns the place is there a lot and really puts effort into making the pizzas. If he isnt there its not worth going.

I can't have them because the local one ragequit when Seattle raised the minimum wage. Didn't stop Domino's from opening another location near me though.

Tomato sauce tastes weird, and the crust is like the worst bread stick you've ever had. The BBQ chicken bacon is decent though.

Their dough is their number one priority. They treat the dough patties like their newborn children. It's a whole different ballgame from other pizza places.

The cheese, is like 1b to dough 1a. They treat that like gold. The cheese is good for 14 days, closer to that day and they swell up to the size of a golf ball in the oven. So if you're getting a lot of cheese it's more than likely being under cheesed but seems like a ton.

Sauce. Is their baby again. And they do skimp on it a lot, it's got a short shelf life and gets thrown out every night. They wanna save it.

Fuck a cinnapie. Delicious, but was a 5 minute process that left your forearms and hands covered in junk. .......we used to spread all that shit on a large dough, roll it up and make cinnamon rolls. Holy wow.
