Now, I'm not gonna suggest that it's okay for her to be as big as she is but to think she shouldn't be famous because she's fat is kinda dumb. There's more to people than their physical appearance

People who blame being overweight on anything other than laziness and gluttony are liars. That's the only 2 reasons people get to be over 250 pounds if they aren't extremely buff. There's no medical reason people would gain hundreds of pounds if they were actually controlling their diets properly.

That's true, for Trump. When I was typing up my post, first I was gonna say "only", but then I thought of Trump. But when fat male actors/comedians etc are discussed, there's nowhere near the same amount of fat shaming than e.g., Rebel Wilson, Amy Schumer, Chrissy Metz, etc. I tested this a while back by making topics about some fatties like Kevin James, Michael Moore and some others. Very benign response.

Most of the people who respond that way are young straight men who would have no reason to talk about how unattractive they find John Goodman or Kevin James. That doesn't mean it isn't sexist, but context is important

I ask this as someone who was concussed playing football as a child. Yes, there are risks to playing football, but here's the thing: a kid who's morbidly obese, is probably going to stay morbidly obese their entire life, causing very serious health issues. Whereas, for football, most kids suffer no long term injuries. Sure, some do, but that pales in comparison to the portion of obese children that don't lose their weight.

I only watched the first episode of that dumb show, but if this is true it is amusing. I remember my friends speculating that she had in her contract that she had to lose a bunch of weight over the course of the show, and we'd get to watch some big transformation over the next few years.

part of the government agenda to promote fat acceptance. they are glorifying obesity and to protect feelings of people that are being told to shape up or face health problems. its always great to redirect blame or to not believe that in life you have to actually physically move to stay healthy and most people dont like exercise.
