Did the Advent suggest that they were basically grabbing different alien species DNA to make an army as they were being targeted by an even worse threat?
The Elders said "you are not ready" and basically that they were only doing what they must do to prepare for something. Are we getting X-Com 3 where an even worse threat comes our way, and new Psionic-God Commander will have to fight them? --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Never played the original X-Com games? they're vaguely following the same plot of those, the new x-coms are practically reboots.

That's the sense that I got. I thought it was a pretty cool plot twist.
