I didn't fully get that, because you still see the person you just don't know who it is so you both probably wind up looking like weirdos to any passersby who have you both unblocked.

It's really the stupidest, most inhumane, most invasive, and most dangerous thing you could ever do to somebody. There's nothing stopping a "blocked" person from becoming violent, and that's the most surefire way to do it.
