Still remember feeling salty for days because I wanted to trade my addy (green) pickaxe, which, mind you, was my main weapon, and I fished days on end to get the money to purchase it. I wanted to trade it for a better weapon, not sure which, but that guy quickly changed it to something that looked just like it, but weaker. Upon realization, I was tearing up in silence.

Also that one time when my supposed friend discovered my password when I told him to look away as I was logging onto my account. Dick had it for a year before I mailed Jagex to give it back to the IP address to which it was created, which was mine.

I definitely never pretended to be a Jagex member to scam people out of stuff, but if I had, I would probably never really get anything good out of it.

I fell for the old trimming scam. Luckily I was a low lvl nub and only got jipped out of full black plate and not some rune plate or anything

Never got scammed persay, but my first real account was hacked randomly and has since disappeared in the ensuing years.

Shame too, because I created it not too long after RS2 came out so if I could still access it id be one or those OG types.

And oh god remember before gravestones?

I remember training endlessly at the hill giants by varrock and whenever some idiot would die there itd always be a race to see who got the best loot.

Made some good fortunes doing that.

I got my first rune set by looting some high level scrub who died to fucking scorpions in the mine lol

idk if Id call it scammed but I had a girlfriend on RS classic when I was super young and gave them a rune 2h lol

I never got scammed but I was always paranoid about losing my account since their policy was basically to just permanently freeze it if you got hacked.

I was fighting someone in the wild. It was near the border and there were plenty of people there just hanging out or fighting. I was fighting one guy while another watched. Me and the guy were slugging it out with our scimmys, but then while I was almost dead the guy watching just blasted me with magic and killed me and it turned out those two were working together.

The only real thing that bothered me was loosing the couple of zombie items I'd liked to wear. I was pissed at the time, but looking back it's kinda clever.
