Actually, I know the qualifier is no retail, but does that include like, stocking shelves? Because most big grocery stores:

A) Have night crew people who stock all night and never have to deal with customers.

or B) Have dedicated stocking people who don't have to work cash and typically only deal with customers to direct them to a specific aisle.

f*** off idiot. A very comfortable environment lmao. I'm comfy as hell walkijg on marble floors all day and making $8.50/hr

Oh woe is you, having to walk around in a quiet, low pressure environment and occasionally have to help people. No one else has to be on their feet all day right?

It's super comfortable to walk around for 8 hours and deal with people who seem to only want to come in when they are angry over unrelated issues and make it your problem. And pushing credit/loyalty cards no one wants more of.

Not a canned line to try and upsell! And occasionally deal with an angry customer, truly you have it hardest. Without a doubt, no other jobs has such hardships as occasionally having someone mad at you.

Plus you get to work random hours that change all the time. Who doesn't love to work until 10 on a Saturday night?

Now complaining that it's shift work lol

Entitled retail workers are the worst. Complain all day despite having no real hardships. Retail was by far the easiest job I've ever worked.

This just in guys, saying something that sucks sucks is being entitled.

Marble floors? That's one upscale retailer! Usually it's cheap-ass carpet or maybe something like linoleum.

And I will search it up on Glassdoor.com and apply to it. Because I would like to work somewhere that isn't fucking terrible to work at like retail or fast food. But take not that I cannot apply anywhere that requires experience or an education?

Because 90% of the job market is retail and food service.

That's not even remotely close to being accurate.

That was just an expression

No, it's not.

It was an expression saying that most of the jobs in my area are literally nothing but retail and food service.

Which is why I made this topic.

Still incorrect.

You only think that all the jobs in your area are retail and fast food because you're lazy and not looking hard enough to actually find a job. In your other job thread, you even mentioned that you would rather be on welfare than work retail/fast food. That's the very definition of laziness.

It very much seems to me like you are just expecting a nice, easy job to be handed to you on a silver platter with no effort on your part. That's not going to happen. Finding a good job is a full time job in itself.

Your weak comeback is the definition of laziness.

I went to college and have a good career. I'm not lazy.

If my post made you that angry, then it probably hit a little too close to the truth for you to handle....

Except it doesn't suck. Relative to pretty much every other job on the damn planet, retail is one of the easiest. You don't have a loud environment, you don't have a high pressure environment, you don't have to be particularly good or even remotely competent at anything. All you have to do is occasionally deal with an angry customer, which, compared to other jobs, is not something worth complaining about.

warehouse work
factory work
hotels
mail sorter
miner
government. Everything from your state Department of Transportation to working at state or national parks.
painter (construction and maintenance)
repairman, maintenance worker, floor installer eg. tile, carpeting (a lot of places will train workers who have no experience)
hazmat worker
welder

A lot of blue collar jobs have a high shortage of workers because older workers are retiring and too many millennials think the only good jobs are white collar jobs that they pursue after going to college.
