Meanwhile Death Note got 3 saves easily each of the last two rounds which I completely missed. Shit happens, I guess.

if you had just specified Stan to get Death Note or Code Geass it would have been fine (i would have saved Death Note if Code Geass was safe)

Yeah but then Brotherhood would've needed a 3rd save from someone - and that's my #2 behind Monster so I'd rather it stay in - though it arguably could've picked up a 3rd save easier than Death Note or Code Geass, so fair enough! Tactical insufficiency on my part.

Yeah I was going to say, Code Geass has been on death's door repeatedly, there was at least one day it would've been eliminated if it wasn't for me. Any additional day it survives is gravy.

Realistically none of the anime series I support will win based on the voting trends, but I'll save them anyways. Plus this is the first time I participate in this Save My so past winners have no bearing on me, though I'd be interested in seeing the final results of the first four series if they're kicking around somewhere.

Monster has actually been a very high finisher in the past, getting third once and having having another top 5 finish (which might have also been third?), though missing several supporters from previous years right now.

That reminds me, is Mumei still around? I watched it solely based on his recommendation, I wonder how many others did the same, I still remember it like yesterday, summer of 2006...

I need to rewatch it so badly, but the rewatch list is almost as long as the have-but-never-watched list. I'll definitely be throwing some more onto that list before this contest is done, I'm sure.

Mumei was a contributing factor for me way back then, but I'm sure I'd have seen it regardless. Haven't seen him in a long time

I'm due for a rewatch too...the plan is to make that happen this year. My anime intake has slowed considerably and I've been about 50/50 on new things and rewatches lately

i actually didn't watch Monster until this contest. i think i was in the middle of it when SMFAS2 started. so i'm not really in urgent need of a rewatch.

the one anime i really need to rewatch is Haibane Renmei. i only saw it once way back when it first came out.

I think that I've last seen Monster in 2008. Probably around the first time I watched Haibane Renmei. I rewatched Haibane Renmei last year...still great.
