Listened to Ralph Vaughan Williams' third symphony for the first time last night and really enjoyed it

Prokofiev's First is neat; written in 1916 but in the style of a piece from the 1700s

btw if anyone wants a really good podcast to introduce and expand your classical knowledge, I'd recommend the stickynotes podcast
https://stickynotespodcast.libsyn.com/ He does a very good job It doesn't get too technical I'm afraid so if you want a very deep look into the music theory behind it, you'll want to look elsewhere (some great courses do an okay job of diving a bit more into it) but he just released an analysis of beethoven's 5th which is always popular. ...
