They always had the A&W sign proudly displayed on the store, like the companies were merged or something. My friend was so excited for me to try it, they said they loved it and drank it a lot. Then we tried it and it sucked shit. Even just the whole presentation of the soda was bizarre. I'll say it again: it's like they gave us the factory reject material. I have actually had some A&W a couple times after that, but not a lot. This happened some years ago. The only thing keeping me from drinking it now is that every time I do I just wonder what the Hell they did back then (it doesn't really stop me, btw.
