Pure emotionally manipulative corporate drivel. Loaded with fake and exaggerated reactions from the judges, the host, the audience, and the performers, then played alongside a saccharine top-20 song to try to make you cry. And that's not to mention the performers that were chosen specifically to be mocked, which often just makes me angry. Especially when it's a genuinely talented contestant whose talent is slightly less accessible to the audience, and they just get shut down by stupid people. Some acts are genuinely impressive, but the "Got Talent" venue does its best to scrub them of their charm. There are better, infinitely more respectful venues to see talented performances.
