I'm on the third mission of Blood Money (I think), and I'm really at a loss for what to do. I try something, and I get killed in, like, 3 bullets.
Also, why does Blood Money take up 2,000 goddamn kb? I had to get a new memory card because of it.

Curtains Down.

It's probably that, then. I am awful at stealth games (from what I've played, anyway).

Curtains Down is a tricky level, but if you're finding yourself getting attacked at all, then you have basically messed up in a Hitman level and should restart it.

It's possible to just shoot your way through every level but you'll end up getting a terrible rating.

If you want a high rating, or particularly the highest possible rating (Silent Assassin), you need to avoid being found out and attacked.

Enemies adapt to your tactics. If you run and gun too much enemies will start wearing armor and use more shotguns. If you like to Snipe there will be more snipers. If you go unnoticed there will be more cameras and guards will wear nufht vision goggles.

I think Hitman games are largely more about exploring and familiarising yourself with as much of a level as you can without raising suspicion, and then, ideally, using what you've learned, finding a way to further explore more/all of it, and hopefully in this process you'll have a firm enough grasp to start making bigger moves.

That said, while it's been a very long time since I played Blood Money, I do recall the stage you're on being pretty difficult and claustrophobic.

They effect your notoriety, though you can pay money to bribe it back down to 0. If your notoriety gets too high people will start to recognize you even in a disguise.

The ranks are basically just a way of seeing how well you do on a mission. The way I like to play the game is to get Silent Assassin on all missions. That's what a true Agent 47 would do.

- Explore the area you're currently allowed in. Keep an eye on where you are and aren't allowed. Look at what people are allowed in certain areas
- Find a disguise that will let you into restricted areas. Look for someone who is alone in an area you're allowed in. There's usually a way to stash their body nearby
- Look on your map for points if interest (an exclamation mark). These will give you some sort of major hint or opportunity
- People with unique, one of a kind outfits generally give you access to a target. Keep an eye out for them
- Don't get into gun fights. Take people out in secret unless you're taking advantage of an accident kill or a remote explosive
- Bodyguard outfits are generally pretty good in Blood Money. Use these to find points of interest
- If you feel like you're progressing remember to save. Save before you take a risk and experiment with what you can get away with

This is correct. but I feel there is indeed also a good amount of "Oh shit I fucked up and now guys are shooting at me involved." And honestly, I personally find moments like that maybe a little more fun to pull off than accomplishing a silent kill sometimes. Seeing how well you can actually mitigate a fuckup is actually a pretty fun game in and of itself

it's definitely "trial and error: the game" memorization and patience is key.

if that doesn't sound satisfying, you're not really gonna enjoy it.

Hitman is about scoping out the area and then finding the best way to kill them, and adapting to a fuck up. There's a couple levels that buck this trend like the political rally but overall that's the formula in Blood Money.

Curtains Down is pretty difficult. It's awesome if you know how to get Silent Assassin but it's basically impossible to figure out from one playthrough, and even if you figure out the primary way, you don't know that the other target reacts in a certain way.

Getting a Silent Assassin is probably gonna take trial and error, but I don't think completions often will. Maybe in that one later game I forget the name of where you basically were getting a death sentence if anyone shot at you.

More like casing the place and seeing potentials before you pull off the hit.

Just get a feel for everything and consider options.

Blood Money and Hitman both have lots of ways to do things.

Silent Assassin and Contracts are more limited.

The other two aren't worth playing.
