By not bringing it to a screeching halt.

Are you like unable to move any other part of your body while you're talking or something?

You're essentially dodging the question. There's no requirement that you bring things to a screeching halt to satisfy the law. The only reason you're fixated on that is you must have some strange view of how this is going down.

So I ask you again. How exactly are you picturing this going down?

He imagines that legal and contractual post I made to be verbally exchanged, as well as signed, printed, and confirmed by one of those people with a stamp and proper rank to verify the authenticity.

It's kind of silly, but what's the actual downside to this?

"It'll kill the mood" or some bs from virgins and people who haven't always engaged in consensual sex with all their partners.

The sad thing is that you actually believe this rubbish

If you can't ask a person "hey want me to get the condoms" to confirm they wanted and were willing to engage in sex, then I'd say you're the one who believes in rubbish.

This is how I know you don't actually have sex lol

Is it sex if I'm bound, squished by the thighs of one partner and I'm being rammed by a strap-on worn by another partner?

No to you it's only sex if you ask "is this okay?" for every damn act and position

some sexual partners prefer not to talk much during sex and are more comfortable just hearin each other fuck
Australia now says they gotta change that or else lol

i'm on the fence with this
like i get the primary political aim of it and it shines a bigger light on the conversation of consent, i like that
but i'm skeptical it will help much with actual cases of rape and just add to legal consent controversies

like someone pointed out, this won't do much to confirm consent via witnesses when most people fuck in private
he said vs she said, he said vs he said, she said vs she said...the legal problem is still there
people can still lie out their asses

although i don't mind the goal of people trying harder to confirm consent on a social level
the law might sound extreme but i'm curious what after effects it will have on their dating scenes, i want to see

There might be some awkwardness in the casual application of this law, but I'm not against it if it really says "all sexual partners must give clear confirmation of consent ".

That means both men AND women have to confirm consent, which would be the most gender progressive approach to this issue I have ever seen a nation take in this age...

These laws are such indicators of the overbearing patriarchy. If your typical man could understand simple body language this wouldn't be needed.

Not to mention a yes to one thing doesn't mean a yes to everything YOU want to do.

You guys give my gender a bad name.

I don't understand how you are even supposed to have sex anymore, lol. I don't think at any point in my life has there been a straight up exchange of words like that. Then do you have to go all the way down the checklist? Is it okay if I hold your hand? Yes. Is it okay if I kiss your lips/neck/navel/etc? Yes. Is it okay if I use my fingers to touch you down there? Yes. Is it okay if I remove your *insert article of clothing here* Yes. Holy shit, by the time you're done with all that neither party is going to be in the mood to fuck.

Sex to me has always been you drop hints of attraction to each other, vibe off each other's body language, one thing leads to another type deal. Then if either party doesn't seem into it at any point, especially if there's a "no" or a "stop" then you shut it down.

I've been seeing the same girl for a few years now. Maybe in bed I'll start kissing her or touching her, then she reciprocates and we do it. Or vice-versa. If she says she's not in the mood, not feeling well or just plain doesn't want to, then we don't. I don't see the issue with that.

But I guess any time either person has alcohol in their system, doesn't get a verbal "yes" to every action, or just has sex in general with a female it's rape. If you have a penis you rape your partner every time.

It's not even that. It's "Did you get a hard 'yes' from every partner you've ever had, every time you had sex and for every action leading up to and including various forms of intercourse?"

If you answered "no" to any of these instances, congratulations. You are a serial rapist.
