Going there for work for a week, but my boss is sending me a day early so I have time to sightsee. Going to start in Tokyo, then go to Osaka mid-week.

I need tips on what to cram into the short times I have spare!

What kind of things are you interested in? I assume video games, so Akihabara is a must

Gaming is nice but Im super into art, history, and culture. I friggin LOVE museums or anything that falls under at what other point will I get to do X?

In that case I highly reccomend the Edo History Museum in Tokyo (you can even see a kabuki show if your lucky). Asakusa is also a good place, and Meiji Shrine. As for Osaka, it's like 30 minutes away from Kyoto so if you have a chance I reccomend checking that out. Also Osaka castle.

If you give me the dates you're free I can check if there's any festivals nearby. That should be a unique experience

Also you can eat horse meat. You might not get another chance to do that!

I was in Japan for two weeks last summer. The best part of the trip was by far and away Miyajima. That's pretty far though.

Tokyo I recommend Ueno Park. It's pretty beautiful, walking distance from Akihibara (which I found disappointing), and close to the Tokyo National Museum. Shibuya is pretty neat, Shibuya crossing in particular being a cool experience. Shinjuku at night is something I highly recommend as well. You can do all of what I mentioned in a day.

All that said, Dotonburi in Osaka is infinitely crazier and more exciting that anywhere I saw in Tokyo.

And Kyoto was pretty boring, at least during the summer. All the shrines and stuff blurred together real fast. It was nice but no where near as impressive or beautiful as I anticipated. Maybe I was spoiled by Miyajima.

Have a cocktail at Bar Benfiddich in Shinjuku. I suggest getting there right when around when it opens (7 PM or so) so you can get a seat at the bar.

Honestly it's probably my favorite thing in Tokyo (though I'm not super crazy about the city overall).

That's why you go during non-peak hours. I've been twice-- both times I went on a weekday, once at 7 PM and once at 1 AM. Wasn't crowded at all either time.

Would definitely watch a JSRF playthough by someone. Letting viewers submit custom tags could give you a great way to engage with the audience too.

Sad for both the bird and the girl. But because of her ridiculously melodramatic reaction I also laughed. I feel terrible about that. I think I would flip out if I hit an animal too, but not to that degree. =/

Smash on the Switch would be the best thing.... Smash 4 is actually all I really need, honestly it's tough to imagine the next Smash beating it easily, especially with the Cloud/Ryu/Bayo DLC.

Would be so much better to have this on Switch, I've actually taken my Wii U with me and played with people over my gamepad (aka Yoshimaster 007 and my uni pals at Anime North) and loved it
