is the dumbest crack reasoning to support it. You get a free pass to steal because you wouldnt buy it legally? Well shit, why dont I just try out this Ferrari. Im willing to bet less than 1% of people that say that lie actually buy the game they stole later on. And even if they did, it still doesnt justify their shitty behavior.

Game devs wont stop shoving rush jobs of shit at full price.

On one hand, yes, the brokebois abuse pirating games, but on the other, piracy is a way of seeing exactly what youre getting. You cant refund opened shit games, the industry controls when reviews go out as to not stifle day one sales, what is someone supposed to do?

You wouldnt buy a house without looking inside it, you wouldnt buy a car without taking it for a test drive. A lot of people feel the same. Honest ppl have no prob purchasing a game w their hard earned money after pirating it beforehand if its good. Good games sell themselves.

With how out of control the greed is in gaming nowadays, i dont blame those who want to see it first BEFORE they get duped into buying a $60 pay2play + excessive microtransactions

When developers and publishers refuse to provide a reasonable way of obtaining their product, and the only alternative is getting railed by a third party reseller, is it then okay to pirate? What about media that is absolutely out of print and the only way to obtain it would be to pirate?

Its because they are losing money for the work they created. Your arrogance doesnt give you a license to steal. And you absolutely get fined for piracy if you are caught. Just like you would be if you made a Ferrari at your house.

1. They never pay for it. They just say so to delude themselves into thinking that they arent a thief.
2. They dont have the right to test it just because they want to. If you dont buy the game, then you arent allowed to play it.
3. The house/car justification is dumb. Thats the same as watching someone lets play it. What you are claiming is that someone would pay for the house after getting to use it for free for the entire amount that the house is worth.

The industry almost encourages it in a way.
Being forced to download their gaming service such as steam, uplay, or origins.
No guarantee that the game will be available to play on the future if servers are no longer supported, such as with Dirt 2 or 3 (can't remember which one)
Charging 60 dollars for an incomplete game and then selling day one DLC or locking content behind payealls.
Not saying that piracy is ok. But when the Pirates offer a better product or service, it's easy to see why people do it.
