This can be because it lets you do silly, stupid stuff, or because the writing is genuinely clever. I think GTA V is a good example of both. At least, it's one video game that immediately jumps to mind as having a clear sense of humor and not just using throwaway jokes in dialogue.

Had alot of fun with saints row games. My custom large female wrestler with pasties was real rad. The writing was hit or miss, but the absurdity of the game play was the fun stuff.

I played a real shitty game called Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard.

Description: Matt Hazard, a legendary video game character with over 25 years of video games to his credit, is attempting a "comeback" of sorts in a new game on next-generation consoles. In the introduction, Matt explains the history of his games, revealing that he accidentally caused his own downfall by taking his name into other genres, resulting in him ruining his reputation by putting himself in kid-friendly games. The game that he is currently starring in has him as a private detective seeking to return money stolen by a mob boss.

The main character voices? Will Arnett and Neil Patrick Harris.

It was funny but so damn bad.

Left 4 Dead 2 on 4+ player co-op servers. These servers are hilarious because it always turns into a huge race. The thing that makes me laugh is when someone falls behind or accidentally gets caught by a special infected. Sometimes we'll be waiting in the safe room and someone will stand outside to guard the door for the survivors trying to catchup, only to get pulled away by a smoker and then chaos just suddenly happens.

My friends and I laughed so hard playing Brawl. We would do all kinds of stupid stuff.

Once one of them and I were both Snake and he gets the Smash Ball. He jumps offscreen and right as he comes back down to shoot grenades at me I do the taunt, which is of course hiding in the box. He laughs and says "WHERE'D HE GO" like a genome soldier and waits or Snake to come out from under the box, then does the ! sound and kills me, lol.

Another time it was a three-man free for all brawl and I choose Bowser, pick one of the friends and suicide him to death on every single stock. He raged, but my other friend was obviously happy to win.

I can recall tons of funny shit happening in the GTA games. Basically max out your wanted level and see how long you can escape from the law enforcement. Tons of good memories with friends from the wacky stuff that would happen.

Who's Your Daddy

For those that aren't familiar, one player takes the role of a father babysitting his infant child while trying to do household chores, and the other takes the role of the baby, whose goal is to die in the most ridiculous way possible

Jump in the pool, jump on the lit bbq grill, put yourself in the oven, toaster in the bathtub, etc

It sounds stupid but when you're playing with friends it's god damn hilarious
