The problem with N64 games tends to be with the controls, not the controllers.

It's too much of a pain playing N64 games with a non-N64 controller because of the c buttons and that exact analog stick sensitivity.and dead zone.

I never got the confusion around the N64 controller, was an alright design that allowed you to hold it and either use the Dpad or the analog stick. Only problem is not many developers seemed to use the dpad configuration.

Only change I'd want to the controller is built-in Rumble. Otherwise, keep it the way it was

sure but changing controllers wouldn't solve that problem because now you have a controller that isn't designed to play these games with a unique setup
